Eng announce playing XI for 4th Ashes Test, drop vice-captain Pope

England have dropped vice-captain Ollie Pope for the fourth Ashes 2025–26 Test, while Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the remainder of the series with a left-side strain. Pacer Gus Atkinson will replace Archer, while Jacob Bethell will bat at number three in the Boxing Day Test, replacing Pope. Notably, Pope scored 125 runs in the first three Tests.
