Engine-less Indian Navy ship to sail from India to Oman

Indian Navy’s ship INSV Kaundinya, built using techniques believed to have been used in India during 5th century CE, will embark on a journey from India to Oman. The ship will retrace India's ancient maritime highways. Since it has no engine, it will depend entirely on wind and sails. Traditional craftsmen from Kerala stitched the ship’s wooden planks by hand.
