Engineer Rashid, currently in Tihar jail, offers to quit as Baramulla MP

Engineer Rashid, MP from Jammu & Kashmir's Baramulla and currently lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail, has expressed his willingness to resign from Parliament, citing his inability to serve the people. Rashid is facing trial in terror-funding and conspiracy cases and has been in jail since 2019. He defeated Omar Abdullah by over two lakh votes in 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
