England defeat a European team for first time in T20 World Cup history

England defeated Scotland by five wickets in their T20 World Cup 2026 Group C match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday. It is their first victory against a European team in T20 World Cup history. They had lost three of their last five matches against European teams in T20 World Cups, while two matches were abandoned.
