England record their highest-ever total in Test cricket against Pakistan

England have recorded their highest-ever Test total against Pakistan by scoring 657/10 in the first innings of the first Test in Rawalpindi. England scored 506 runs on Day 1, becoming the first-ever team to score at least 500 runs on Day 1 of a Test. England's previous highest Test total against Pakistan was 598/9d, recorded in Abu Dhabi in 2015.
