Enrolments in Mumbai's BMC schools dropped by 27% in last 10 yrs: Report

The overall enrolment numbers in the schools run by Mumbai's civic body, BMC, have reportedly seen a decline of 27% in the last 10 years (between 2012-13 and 2021-22). According to a report released by a city-based NGO, Praja Foundation, the Marathi, Hindi and Urdu-medium civic schools saw a fall in enrolment by 50%, 44% and 30% respectively.
