Entrance exam restored at Jadavpur University after protests

Jadavpur University authorities have restored the entrance exams that were scrapped last week for admission to six arts faculty departments. This comes after students staged a hunger strike over the decision to scrap the tests. However, protests continued since it has not been decided whether the examinations would be conducted by JU teachers or an external body.
