Entrepreneur claims landlords exploit non-B'luru natives, says 'They call only to raise rent'
A Bengaluru-based startup's founder said a landlord refused to return ₹1.75-lakh deposit of a couple, who rented a 2BHK flat for ₹55,000/month and paid over ₹1 lakh fixing issues like leakages. He said landlords are first to call when they're increasing rent but leave tenants alone when there's a problem. "For [non-native] Bengalureans, this often feels like...modern-day exploitation," he added.
