Epic Games has announced plans to shut down three Fortnite game modes after they failed to attract a large player base. Rocket Racing will leave Fortnite in October 2026, while Ballistic and Festival Battle Stage will go offline on April 16. The company also announced on Tuesday that it is laying off more than 1,000 employees.
