Epstein claimed cellmate tried to kill him weeks before suicide

A newly released document related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein shows that the financier claimed his life was in danger when he was held at New York's Metropolitan Correctional Center. In a suicide watch observation log, dated July 23, 2019, Epstein told the guards that his "cellmate tried to kill him." Epstein died by suicide on August 10, 2019.
