Escaped pirates by following Hanks' advice from 'Captain Phillips': Sailor

Shankar Rao, an Indian sailor, said that he managed to escape pirates when they attacked his ship last year by following actor Tom Hanks' advice from the movie 'Captain Phillips' to hide in the engine room. "The pirates were interested in abducting only the Indians, for a huge ransom," he added. Rao was later jailed for illegally entering Nigerian waters.
