Eseme wins men's 100m with CWG record, Hobbs sets Oceania record in women's 100m

Cameroon's Emmanuel Eseme won the men's 100m at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with a Games record of 9.83 seconds. New Zealand's Zoe Hobbs won the women's 100m gold medal in 10.93 seconds, setting a new Oceania record and becoming the first New Zealand athlete to win Commonwealth Games gold in the event.
