Essel Group completes first tranche of stake sale in ZEEL

Essel Group announced on Tuesday that it sold the first tranche of its stake of 8.7% in Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL) to Invesco Oppenheimer Developing Markets Fund. Essel added that it will complete the balance sale of 2.3% stake in the next few days. It had sold 11% promoter stake in ZEEL to Invesco Oppenheimer for ₹4,224 crore in July.
