Ethanol blending saves India ₹1.67 lakh crore in forex: KPMG
Ethanol blending has helped India save nearly ₹1.67 lakh crore in foreign exchange and cut crude oil imports by around 283 lakh metric tonnes, a report by KPMG said. It has also helped avoid around 851 lakh tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions while boosting rural incomes through the ethanol value chain, the report added. India recently authorised 100% ethanol fuel.
