Ethiopia urges citizens to join military to fight Tigrayan rebels

The Ethiopian government on Tuesday urged its "capable" citizens to join the military to fight the rebels from Ethiopia's Tigray region. The appeal came six weeks after the government declared a unilateral ceasefire in Tigray on the day Tigrayan rebels retook the regional capital Mekelle. The conflict has sparked a major refugee crisis in the region.
