EU chief von der Leyen's plane hit by alleged Russian GPS interference
A plane carrying European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen was allegedly targeted by GPS jamming over Bulgarian airspace, a spokesperson said. Bulgarian authorities suspect the issue was due to "blatant interference by Russia", said European Commission spokeswoman Arianna Podesta. Von der Leyen's plane landed safely in Bulgaria, she added. The EU chief has been a vocal Russian critic.
