EU chief vows action, says 'shame' on Hungary for new LGBT law

The European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Wednesday vowed to take any action necessary to thwart a new LGBT law in Hungary. Leyen said, "This Hungarian bill is a shame. [It] clearly discriminates against people based on their sexual orientation." The Hungarian Parliament passed the bill that bans the "display and promotion of homosexuality" among under-18s last week.
