EU court rules Hungary’s anti-LGBTQ laws breach EU law

The European Court of Justice ruled that Hungary violated European law with rules restricting access to ​LGBTQ content, saying that they stigmatise gay and trans people. The ​court said Hungary acted in breach ​of ⁠Article 2 of the EU's Treaty. Viktor Orban, the outgoing PM, defended his stance, saying that it protected "children from aggressive LGBTQ propaganda".
