EU disapproves of US travel ban on European countries

The European Union (EU) disapproves of the US decision to ban all travel from 26 Schengen border-free travel countries, the European Commission said. The decision was taken unilaterally and without consultation, while the EU is taking strong action to limit the spread of coronavirus, it added. The UK and Ireland are among countries exempted from the ban.
