EU has 'cognitive split' in policy towards China: Chinese minister

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said that European Union (EU) has "cognitive split" in its policy towards China. Yi said that while EU is trying to be a partner to China, it also views country as an "institutional opponent". Ties between EU and China worsened after Lithuania withdrew its diplomats from China amid tensions over Taiwan earlier this month.
