EU may force Meta to restore rival AI chatbots on WhatsApp

EU regulators have said they plan to order Meta to restore rival AI chatbots on WhatsApp. This comes after Meta imposed an access fee on third-party AI companies in a bid to resolve antitrust investigations launched by the EU last year. Meta earlier planned to ban third-party AI chatbots from WhatsApp Business, which prompted the investigation.
