EU needs to uphold rights of migrants at Belarus border: Germany

German minister, Nancy Faeser, said legal standards need to be upheld at Belarusian border, near which thousands of migrants are camping in hopes of entering EU. "[Belarusian President] capitalises on [migrants' distress]," Faeser said, adding that migrants' fundamental rights needed to be respected. Her statement comes amid EU's recent proposal to curtail certain rights of migrants.
