EU, New Zealand strike free trade deal after 4 years of talks

After about four years of talks, New Zealand and the European Union (EU) on Thursday announced that they've concluded negotiations on a free trade agreement (FTA). "Trade between us should increase by 30%," European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen tweeted. "We managed to ensure a level playing field for EU investors in New Zealand and vice versa," she said.
