EU ready for new COVID-19 variant Omicron: European Medicines Agency

Executive director of the European Medicines Agency (EMA), Emer Cooke said on Tuesday the EU is ready for the new COVID-19 variant Omicron. "We know that at some stage there'll be a mutation that means we have to change the current approach," she said. It will take two weeks to indicate whether current vaccines can counter the variant, she added.
