Europe’s heatwave to continue in July, experts warn

Weather experts have warned that the heat spell in Europe will continue in July. The European heatwave has been attributed to the Omega block weather pattern, which has locked a massive ridge of high pressure over the continent, trapping extremely hot Saharan air. Weather agencies predicted another high-pressure ridge could develop between July 7 and 10 across western Europe.
