EU's lending arm issues $121 mn digital bond on Ethereum blockchain

European Investment Bank (EIB), the lending arm of the European Union, has announced that it issued its first-ever bond on the Ethereum blockchain. The bond is worth $121 million and will mature on April 28, 2023. "These digital bonds will play a role in giving the bank quicker...access to alternative sources of finance," EIB's Vice President Mourinho Félix said.
