EU's €13 billion tax bill 'defies reality, common sense': Apple

Apple, in a legal challenge launched on Tuesday, said that the August 2016 European Commission order to pay €13 billion in Irish back taxes "defies reality and common sense". The commission had said that tax rulings by Ireland in 1991 and 2007 artificially reduced Apple's tax burden for over two decades, effectively making it illegal state aid.
