EV registrations rise over 40% YoY, reach 2.39 lakh units in April

Indian EV registrations jumped by 41.4% YoY in April 2026, reaching 2.39 lakh units, NDTV Profit reported, citing Vahan's data. Electric two-wheeler sales rose by 21% with 1.49 lakh units registered, and electric cars saw a jump of over 40% YoY with registrations of 23,227 units. Electric three-wheelers posted a rise of 22% with 64,500 units registered in April.
