Even 50 is too many: SP MP on Congress's demand of 150 seats for UP polls

Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Shiv Pal Singh Patel on Saturday questioned Congress' demand for 150 seats for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2027, saying seat allocation should reflect party's electoral strength. "150 seats is out of...question. Even giving them 50 seats would be...big deal," he said. Seat-sharing discussions between the SP and Congress are set to begin later this month.
