Even harshest British torture couldn't break Savarkar: PM Modi

PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tributes to VD Savarkar on his birth anniversary. Calling Savarkar a true son of Mother India, PM said even the harshest torture from British colonial powers could not dent his dedication to motherland. Savarkar advocated for revolutionary methods to gain freedom from British and he was imprisoned in Andaman Islands under extremely punishing conditions.
