Everest cumin powder recalled by govt over excess pesticide residues

FSSAI has ordered immediate recall of a batch of Everest pre-packed cumin powder after pesticide residues of Azoxystrobin and Thiamethoxam were found above prescribed limits in a sample drawn from Riverside Resort in Goa. The sample was declared “unsafe” by the Referral Food Laboratory. FSSAI had earlier prohibited the sale of Everest Hing powder over non-compliance with food safety standards.
