Every ₹100 in a scheme, just ₹25 reaches the poor: Amit Kilhor

Only about ₹25 of every ₹100 sanctioned for the poor actually reaches them, educator Amit Kilhor estimated. On the podcast, he said welfare funds are skimmed through seven or eight layers, from the state secretariat down to the village clerk. He recalled Rajiv Gandhi's old line that barely 15 paise of each rupee once reached the needy.
