EVMs secured for TN elections; Over ₹2.5 cr seized during checks

In Nilgiris district, Electronic Voting Machines for Tamil Nadu Assembly elections have been secured at a private educational institution's depot, protected by over 50 armed personnel and CCTV surveillance. Also, approximately ₹2.59 crore in cash and goods have been seized during vehicle checks, with awareness programs aimed at enhancing voter turnout being initiated in low-participation areas.
