Ex-Amazon employee starts chicken farm after job rejections

Former Amazon employee Maria Harshitha turned repeated job rejections after her March 2026 layoff into an unexpected entrepreneurial journey. Encouraged by her husband, she started raising chickens and selling eggs. What began with six chicks eventually became a chicken farm. Maria says her product management skills now help her manage demand, supply and customers while building her new business.
