Ex-Andhra Minister Karumuri Nageswara Rao arrested in liquor transport scam

Andhra Pradesh’s ex-Civil Supplies Minister Karumuri Nageswara Rao was arrested by ED in Hyderabad in a money-laundering probe linked to an alleged liquor transportation scam. Rao allegedly manipulated Andhra Pradesh State Beverages Corporation’s tender process and diverted proceeds through subcontracting. ED alleged that Rao and his son received ₹15 crore through cash and banking transactions.
