Ex-blood bank staffer held 6 months after kids in J'khand given HIV+ blood

A former blood bank staffer at government-run Sadar Hospital in Jharkhand's Chaibasa has been arrested roughly six months after five minors with thalassemia were allegedly transfused with HIV-infected blood. The police filed an FIR against Manoj Prasad in February upon the direction of the Jharkhand High Court. Earlier, a writ petition sought ₹1-crore compensation for each of the five children.
