Ex-China Development Bank Prez faces corruption investigation

Ouyang Weimin, former president of the China Development Bank, has been placed under investigation on suspicion of serious disciplinary and legal violations, China's top anti-graft watchdog said. Ouyang served as president of the bank from 2019 to 2023. Notably, in 2024, a former vice president of the bank was sentenced to 12 years in prison and fined for accepting bribes.
