Ex-Congressman & Rubio's friend jailed for 10 yrs for secretly lobbying for Venezuela

Ex-Republican Congressman and longtime friend of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, David Rivera was sentenced to 10 years in prison for secretly lobbying for Venezuela under $50-million contract. He was convicted in May of violating foreign-agent registration laws and conspiring to launder money. Prosecutors said he used political connections to influence US policy toward Nicolas Maduro's regime.
