Ex-HDFC Bank chief's ethics remarks resurface amid ₹45-cr fund diversion allegations

Former HDFC Chairman Atanu Chakraborty's remarks on governance have resurfaced amid allegations that the bank made illegal payments to a state government department to attract deposits. Chakraborty resigned from the board citing concerns over certain practices within the bank. He had said, "Certain happenings and practices within the bank are not in congruence with my personal values and ethics."
