Ex-Maha minister Padamsinh Patil, others acquitted in 2006 murder of Congress leader Nimbalkar

A special CBI court in Mumbai acquitted all nine accused, including ex-Maharashtra Home Minister and ex-NCP MP Padamsinh Patil, in the 2006 double murder case of Congress leader Pawanraje Nimbalkar and his driver. Patil is the stepbrother of Deputy CM Sunetra Pawar. Pawanraje's son, Omraje Nimbalkar, currently a Shiv Sena (UBT) MP, is reportedly in touch with Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena.
