Ex-Malaysian PM Razak gets permission to serve jail sentence under house arrest

Jailed former Malaysian PM Najib Razak has been granted permission to serve the rest of his sentence under house arrest by a Malaysian Pardons Board chaired by the King. Razak served as PM from 2009 to 2018 and was found guilty of embezzling billions of dollars from a state investment fund. The house arrest will remain in place until 2028.
