Ex-militants go on 72-hr strike in Tripura over delay in rehab
Former militants in Tripura began a 72-hour strike blocking roads and railway tracks, demanding implementation of a ₹250 crore rehabilitation package announced by the government in 2024. The former militants belonged to now-disbanded National Liberation Front of Tripura and All Tripura Tiger Force. The protestors said they had written to several officials about their demands ahead of the strike.
