Ex-OpenAI researchers say they were fired for prioritising safety

Three former OpenAI researchers have accused the ChatGPT-maker of firing them after they raised concerns about AI safety. "Our firing leaves us worried that the norms inside OpenAI are shifting," they wrote in an open letter to OpenAI. They added that abrupt terminations and the way they were communicated were "chilling the open culture OpenAI has prized in the past".
