Ex-SEBI chief Madhabi Buch gets clean chit from Lokpal over Hindenburg's corruption claims

Former SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch has gotten a clean chit from Lokpal regarding allegations of corruption levelled by Hindenburg Research in August last year. The anti-corruption ombudsman called the complainants' allegations "fabrications based on illegally-obtained income tax returns". "Routine SEBI decisions have been recast as part of an alleged grand conspiracy," Lokpal added.
