Ex-WB civic body chief held over RG Kar victim's hurried cremation

West Bengal police on Thursday arrested former Panihati municipality chairman Somnath Dey from Bengaluru over the "hurried cremation" of the victim of rape and murder at RG Kar Hospital. This comes after a fresh FIR was registered based on a complaint filed by the victim's father. Earlier, former-TMC MLA Nirmal Ghosh was arrested from Odisha in connection with the case.
