Ex-Chilean Colonel convicted of killing 23 in 1973 held in Argentina
The police on Saturday arrested fugitive retired Chilean Army Colonel Walter Klug Rivera in Argentina's capital Buenos Aires after he fled neighbouring Chile. "Rivera was apprehended outside the...hotel where he was staying," the Chilean Police tweeted. He was convicted in the disappearance and murder of 23 people in 1973 during Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship, Chilean authorities and media said.
