Ex-Groupon CEO's firm Descript raises $50 million in Series C round

US-based audio and video editing platform, Descript, founded by former Groupon CEO Andrew Mason, has secured $50 million in a Series C funding round led by OpenAI Startup Fund. The funding round saw participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Redpoint Ventures, Spark Capital and ex-Y Combinator partner Daniel Gross. With this, the total amount raised by the startup increased to $100 million.
