Ex-K'taka CM's granddaughter had postpartum depression: State minister

Former Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa's granddaughter, Dr Soundarya, was suffering from postpartum depression, Yediyurappa's office and the state's current Home Minister Araga Jnanendra have confirmed. She died by suicide earlier today at her apartment in Bengaluru. As per the CM's office, Dr Soundarya, who lived close to CM's residence, was also taking treatment for the depression.
