Ex-Pakistani PM Abbasi arrested in ₹9,500 crore corruption case

Former Pakistani PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was arrested on Thursday in a nearly ₹9,500-crore corruption case related to the awarding of a contract to a liquefied natural gas firm. Abbasi had granted a 15-year contract to a company in which he was a shareholder himself. He'd awarded the contract when he was the Petroleum Minister under ex-PM Nawaz Sharif's rule.
