Expected better: HC as Maha govt denies benefits to martyr's widow

Bombay High Court has expressed "surprise" and displeasure over the Maharashtra government's stand to not provide benefits to the wife of a martyr under its policy as he wasn't domiciled in the state. The government pleader said that the state Cabinet, which isn't sitting, needs to make the decision. "This isn't done. We expected much better from...government," a judge said.
